‘Deadly Broadcast’ Streams Your Haunted House Encounters

Deadly Broadcast reminds us that our deaths are only worthwhile if they earn us a ton of likes, subs, and viewers on our various channels and social media accounts.

This game sees you (and hopefully a few friends since it’s multiplayer) working your way through an array of haunted and dangerous locales. While it definitely gives off a Phasmophobia vibe, you will be juggling a lot of combat with your detective work. While figuring out what to do with the central haunting, you’ll have to fend off several lesser creatures with whatever weapons you have on-hand. You’re in constant danger and will have to work together with your friends to stay alive as you work through the game’s puzzle to conquer the final ghost in each area.

You’re not doing this out of some altruistic spirit, though. You’re here to get views and followers. As streamers, you’re going to want to record footage and take pictures of what’s going on, all while your stream chat babbles on about what they’re seeing. There’s a special humor to be found as you’re being eaten alive while your viewers ask ridiculous questions and spam memes at your bleeding corpse. Doubly so if you integrate the game with your actual Twitch account and your actual Twitch followers do this to you. Overall,  though, the need to get decent footage while also running for your life creates a stressful juggling act where you need to cause trouble for yourself on purpose, then try to live through it.

Deadly Broadcast can be scary and silly in equal measures as you play through it, with players dying for stupid reasons like trying to get likes on a zombie picture. It’s an interesting look at streaming culture with a horror slant, and is also a lot of fun for four players who want to smack some undead around.
