Halo Infinite Gets Its Own Version of COD-Like Zombies Mode

Halo Infinite, FPS title from Xbox Game Studios, is about to get a Zombies-style game mode. The game mode, titled Survive the Undead, will arrive thanks to the Forge Falcons, which is a community-led group of Forge experts.

The Forge Falcons’ PvE game mode has been released (spotted by Destructoid) and can be found in the Combat Workshop for the next two weeks until June 4, 2024. Players in the Survive the Undead mode have to stay alive as long as possible by taking down the zombies. By eliminating the zombies, players will earn points that can be used for upgrades, perks, or a “mystery box” which may contain just about anything including perks and upgrades.

The Combat Workshop will serve as the central hub for this game out, including the “work-in-progress” maps and modes. 343 Industries said that the playlist allows the team to gain feedback and address the issues.

While the announcement of this game mode has arrived at the official Halo Waypoint blog, this is not an official game mode. Instead, developers 343 have endorsed this community-made project from the Forge Falcons. It is perhaps why there’s a quirky tip in the middle of the blog, advising you that “while waiting to respawn, make sure to wiggle your sticks to keep from getting kicked for inactivity.”

The Forge Falcons are known for adding more flavour and game modes in existing titles, as they have previously released their own version of a battle royale in Halo Infinite. They also make game modes in Fortnite using the UEFN creator.
