Honkai: Star Rail Showcases It’s Chinese-Inspired Location With New Video

Today Honkai: Star Rail developer HoYoverse has released a new video showcasing the second location that players can visit in the game. 

The location, named Xianzhou Lufou, is inspired by China, its sights, and its traditions akin to Genshin Impact’s Liyue area, and features the typical Huizhou architectural style that you find in Yi County in the Anhui Province of China. This creates an interesting mix of traditional Chinese imagery and science fiction.

The developers also provide an in-depth explanation of the philosophy behind the design of the locations that we’ll visit, on top of showing some gameplay footage portraying them.

Honkai: Star Rail is a single-player free-to-play turn-based RPG available for PC via stand-alone client and Epic Games Store on top of iOS and Android. We already that ports for PlayStation platforms are also in development, but they aren’t yet available and while the developers mentioned they’d come soon, we don’t yet know when they’ll be released.

The game just received an update earlier today, fixing quite a few initial issues that slipped into the launch build.
