I have a Quick Theory.

I am highly convinced Nick Szabo is Satoshi Nakamoto.

My Reasoning:

He has great interest in numismatics, and has a blog about collecting currency. The Twitter account that was in contact with Hal Finney when Bitcoin was created also frequently posted about currency (note: gold is a concurrent theme.)

Nick created Bit Gold, the precursor to Bitcoin and decentralized currency on a blockchain. He has a computer science degree and a doctorate in jurisprudence. He would know the implications of currency, and also how to create his own using a computer. He would also see great value in being silent, given his knowledge of the law.

Nick has no evidence of having contact with Satoshi. However, the people around Satoshi do, such as Hal Finney or Wei Dai. Szabo has verified contact with these people outside of his Satoshi pseudonym.

He created a pseudonym using his name. Nick is Hungarian, and surnames come first in Hungary, so traditional writing his name would match initials with Satoshi.

A study concluded Szabo and Nakamoto have similar, if not the same linguistics: “In 2014, The Aston University Centre for Forensic Linguistics conducted a linguistic study on Bitcoin's white paper to determine the identity of Nakamoto. The group concluded that Nick Szabo was Nakamoto based on linguistic similarities.”

Nick Szabo accidentally says “…I designed Bitco—Gold with two layers because…” in an interview on the Tim Ferris Show. Freudian slip?

Conclusion: Nick Szabo is the type of person to be able to pull off Bitcoin, given his great computer knowledge and interest in currency. I personally believe Nick Szabo is Satoshi Nakamoto due to the similarities and low chance of coincidence.

Alternate Conclusion: Nick Szabo is not Satoshi, but rather a member of the Satoshi Nakamoto moniker. I personally believe Nick Szabo has at least worked on Bitcoin.
