CI Games has lifted the wraps off 17 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay for Lords of the Fallen ahead of its highly anticipated launch next month.

Lords of the Fallen is the follow-up to 2014’s underrated fantasy romp of the same name, and has endured a bit of a tumultuous development cycle. The game was originally announced not long after the release of Lords of the Fallen (2014) and given a 2017 launch window, with Defiant Studios leading the project.
However, after about a year, CI Games terminated the studio’s contract, citing Defiant’s work was “inadequate.” Production then shifted to Hexworks in 2020, resulting in a shift to Unreal Engine 5 and bring us to the version we have today. Back in August, the development team confirmed that Lords of the Fallen will support a Performance and Quality mode for PS5.
Lords of the Fallen is scheduled for release on October 13, 2023 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and went gold last month.
