New Palworld Trailers Unleash More Unspeakable Quasi-Pokemon Brutality (and Cuddles)

Developer Pocketpair shared new trailers of its upcoming Pokemon-style game Palworld, showing two of the “pals” that we’ll be able to ally with.

Of course, before they become your pals, you’ll have to capture them, and in this, Palworld is as brutal as ever, with the player unleashing all sorts of firepower on the critters, whether from firearms or other pals.

That being said, once they do become your pal, cuddling, petting, and even communal naps are in order.

We start with Digitoise, which is totally not a Blastoise, obviously. It’s defined as a “powerful pal with the deadliest drill and the hardest shell.”

You can check it out in action below.

Next is a definitely less imposing pal, the Leezpunk. It’s defined as a “narcissistic pal who spends too much time in front of the mirror practising poses.”

You can see how it fights in the trailer below. Of course, there’s plenty of violence followed by tender petting in this one aswell, because we wouldn’t have it any other way, would we?

Palworld, it will will release in early accession PC via Steam in January 2024. Recntly, the developers released a Q&A video in which they provide more information on this quirky Pokemon-like game and what it’s all about.

If you’re interested in seeing more Pokem… ahem… pals, you can check out Faleris and Robinquill, Tocotoco and Loupmoon, Grizzbolt and Lifmunk, Eikthyrdeer, Gobfin, Dinossom, and Anubis.
