As you begin your search for the Crystal Stars in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, early on in your quest you will be challenged to participate in the 65th Trivia Quiz-Off. The quiz show makes a return appearance in the sequel, continuing on from the 64th Trivia Quiz-Off which had appeared in the original Nintendo 64 game.
Warned by the Thwomp that hosts it that if you lose you will suffer a terrible fate, you must correctly answer five of the questions that the Shhwonk Fortress inhabitant asks you to win. Get three wrong and you will suffer.
You must overcome the Thwomp’s 65th Trivia Quiz-Off to recover the Sun and Moon Stones required to continue your adventure, as, if you win, it will let you through to where they rest. If you do answer incorrectly three times, it will be time for the “Pain Game” and the Thwomp will task you with eliminating four Clefts in battle before he will allow you to pass him.
