Today, during his deposition at the hearing against the FTC about the proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Phil Spencer talked about The Elder Scrolls VI.
According to a report by Axios’ Stephen Totilo the head of Xbox mentioned that the game is 5+ years away. He also couldn’t answer on which platforms the game will be on simply because it’s too early to tell.
Spencer was questioned about an interview in which he allegedly said that The Elder Scrolls VI would be exclusive, but the wording in that interview is actually rather vague.
The Elder Scrolls VI was announced all the way back at E3 2018 alongside Starfield, but apparently, the next chapter of the popular fantasy saga is much further off than the sci-fi RPG.
Besides a few very small hints, we basically know nothing about The Elder Scrolls VI. There are theories about its setting, but nothing set in stone.
Speaking of Starfield, it releases for Xbox Series X|S and PC on September 6, 2023. If you’d like to see more, you can take a look at the brand-new story trailer from a few days ago and the most recent gameplay, on top of another trailer showcased a while ago. We also recently learned more details about companions, including which ones are available as romantic interests and the fact that the game supports going out on adventures without them.
Starfield was originally teased all the way back in 2018. It was supposed to release in November 2022, but it was then delayed to the first half of 2023.
