Tower of Fantasy publisher Perfect World and developer Hotta Studio have announced Neverness to Everness, another gacha RPG with an anime aesthetic that’ll probably be asking you to dig deep into your wallet for its gacha element.
The game was revealed via both a cinematic trailer introducing its world and an extended gameplay trailer that demonstrates how it’ll play. It turns out the answer to that second conundrum is “quite a lot like Genshin Impact, by the looks of things”.
This one’s got a distinctly Zenless Zone Zero-style urban fantasy setting as well, and it revolves around a group of characters investigating Anomalies in the land of Helthereau.
In the extended 13-minute gameplay trailer introducing Neverness to Everness (which Hotta Studio would like you to call NTE), you can see characters exploring an urban environment and interacting with the locals, as well as a few of the trippy Ghostwire: Tokyo-style Anomalies you’ll be investigating.
You can also see some combat, which looks fairly similar to HoYoverse’s style; you’ll be switching quickly between characters to build combos, and it looks like each character will have special abilities to take advantage of as well.
Rather unusually for an anime-style gacha game, you can also see characters floating down to street level from rooftops, Batman: Arkham Knight style, before hopping into cars to explore the rain-soaked streets of the city at night.
