Ubisoft Has Confirmed It’ll Be At E3 2023, If There’s Still One To Go To

While Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo feel 2023 is the year to skip E3, other publishers are still hoping to attend the event, like Ubisoft.

Confirmed by the company’s more than a little controversial chief executive officer Yves Guillemot, “If E3 happens, we will be there and we will have a lot of things to show.”

The comment came during a company earnings call, and while it’s not surprising that in the absence of all three of the major console platforms missing the show, Ubisoft and others would look to take advantage, it was odd that Guillemot spoke about E3 as if it were potentially not happening.

ReedPop has already confirmed that E3 will be happening. The event dates have been set, and it’ll be both a digital and physical event with days strictly for industry and press, and other days open to the ticket-purchasing public.

The lineup of attendees has yet to be confirmed, but there’s been no indication it would be cancelled like last year.

If anything, this was the first year that E3 could’ve looked even slightly like it did all the way back in 2019.

It certainly won’t be the same without any of the big three in attendance, but I guess that means more room for Ubisoft to stretch out to show its “a lot of things,” as Guillemot said.
