Yooka-Replayee is an upcoming remaster from developer Playtonic of the 3D platformer Yooka-Laylee.
It was revealed during the Guerilla Collective 2024 Showcase and will initially be launching on Steam.
A short gameplay trailer showed off some of the updated features of the remaster, such as having given it a new look in revamped art and animations, along with “enhanced performance and resolution.”
The new version will also feature updated camera controls and character controls, and there’s going to be a new in-game coin currency for players to use at Vendi, the vending machine.

The in-game challenges have also been updated, game modifiers have been added – basically in a few significant ways, Yooka-Replayee is making some changes that, at least for now, make it well-worth checking out, whether you’re an old fan or a new one.
Playtonic has confirmed it’ll host a Q&A session on June 11, 2024 from its YouTube channel, so hopefully then we can expect to see some answers regarding other platforms beyond PC.
