Bandai Namco Highlights the Success of the Game Again in Recent ‘Full Fiscal Year’ Report and More, All We Know

Elden Ring launched a year back to much anticipation, and proved to live up to its hype. In publisher Bandai Namco’s latest fiscal year report, it was revealed that sales from Elden Ring had reached 20.5 million. The multiple GOTY award winner thus continues to bring big bucks for the creators of the game.

Elden Ring sold more than 20 million units in last fiscal year

Some of the highlights of Elden Ring publisher Bandai Namco’s fiscal year financials surfaced on ResetEra forum earlier last week. It expounded that for the category of mobile games/home console game sales, “repeat sales of existing titles such as “ELDEN RING” were strong, especially overseas, worldwide sales reaching 20.5 million.”

This doesn’t come as a surprise as only earlier in February this year, Bandai Namco had shared the news with its fans about Elden Ring’s 20 million sale in less than a year. While Elden Ring launched in February 2022, the game had reportedly sold 16.6 million units within June 2022 itself. Shortly after this, Bandai Namco announced the first DLC for Elden Ring, Shadow of The Erdtree, that is now slated for launch later this year.

After Elden Ring, Bandai Namco has more anticipated titles lined up

While Bandai Namco’s fiscal year report highlighted the success of Elden Ring, it also mentioned that an eventual “pullback in repeat Elden Ring sales, which made a particularly large contribution to this previous year” is expected. But then, new and once again highly anticipated titles like Armored Core, the upcoming Tekken, along with a “new Naruto title” are also coming up.

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware’s Elden Ring is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
