The Pokémon Company International has announced that Primarina will appear at black Tera Raid crystals in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet this month.
The Soloist Pokémon cannot normally be encountered in the Paldea region, and the Primarina that will appear during this event will have Fairy as its Tera Type. Primarina has the Mightiest Mark, proving how formidable it will be to topple.
You will only be able to catch this special Primarina once per save data. However, you can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against this Primarina to obtain other rewards if you’ve already caught it.
The event will run from 12am UTC on Friday 10 May to 11.59pm UTC on Sunday 12 May 2024, and then for a second time a week later from 12am UTC on Friday 17 May to 11.59pm UTC on Sunday 19 May 2024.
Over the second weekend of the event, Blissey will appear more frequently in 5-star Tera Raid Battles. These Blissey will have various Tera Types, and defeating them will reward you with various Tera Shards and bonus Exp. Candies.
To participate in Tera Raid Battle events, you will need to download the latest Poké Portal News in-game by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, Mystery Gift and then Check Poké Portal News.
You will have to complete Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet’s main story to find 5-star Tera Raid Battles and postgame events to be able to find black Tera Raid crystals. If you haven’t achieved either of these, you are still able to participate in these Tera Raid Battles by joining other Trainers in multiplayer.
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are now available at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
