Fortnite OG is set to continue its journey through Chapter 1 with the 27.10 update, bringing locations and weapons from the original Seasons 7 and 8. Here are the early patch notes for the Fortnite 27.10 update, including when it will go live.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG is in full swing and players have been relishing the chance to relive the game’s greatest hits. The OG update transported fans back to the Chapter 1 Season 5 map, before the November 9 hotfix moved the island along to Season 6.

Next up on the schedule is the 27.10 update, which will once again fast-forward the game through time to another classic Fortnite era as the community eagerly awaits Chapter 5.

Fortnite 27.10 update release date & downtime

The Fortnite 27.10 update will arrive on Thursday, November 16, 2023, as confirmed by Epic Games in the Season OG patch notes.

Based on past updates, downtime is expected to begin at around 12 AM PST / 3 AM EST / 8 AM GMT. The servers will be offline for a few hours while the devs roll out the patch, so players will be unable to search for a game during this time.

Fortnite 27.10 update brings Season 7 & 8 map changes

Epic have confirmed that the Fortnite OG 27.10 update will bring back the snow biome, as seen in Chapter 1 Seasons 7 and 8. This means that the Frosty Flights location will return, as the southwestern corner of the island will once again be covered in snow and ice.

While other POIs are yet to be officially mentioned, it’s likely that Happy Hamlet and Polar Peak will also be added as part of the update, as they were in the original Season 7.

The 27.10 update brings back iconic guns.

On top of another overhaul to the island, the Fortnite 27.10 update will unvault a number of classic weapons. So far, the Flint-Knock Pistol, Minigun, and Quad Launcher have been revealed, with plenty of others likely to join them.

Players can also look forward to some returning vehicles, offering them new (or old) ways to get around the map. The X-4 Stormwing planes will be available from Frosty Flights, while the Pirate Cannon lets fans launch themselves through the air.
