Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Reportedly Doesn’t Have A Platinum Trophy On PS5, Instead Its Trophy List Appears As DLC For Modern Warfare 2

According to a new report from website PowerPyx, this year’s upcoming Call Of Duty series entry, Modern Warfare 3, doesn’t actually have a platinum trophy, at least on PS5.

That’s because on PS5, it doesn’t show up as a standalone list. It appears as a DLC trophy list for last year’s Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The PS4 version however does have a standalone trophy list, and that does have a platinum trophy.

Both trophy lists are exactly the same, barring the platinum, which makes it all the more odd. It could be the case that this is just a pre-launch error, as Modern Warfare 3 won’t officially release until the next coming Friday, November 10, 2023.

If this isn’t a mistake though, then the big question remains of – why? What’s the reason for this to not have a platinum trophy?

It does however further reinforce the notion that even though this new game is being pitched as a full sequel to last year, it could end up feeling closer to DLC from Modern Warfare 2, which is supposedly how this game’s life began.
