AI SoC targets advanced UCC terminals

The DVF120 SoC from Synaptics integrates all of the major features required for Unified Communication and Collaboration (UCC) terminals and devices. Along with a quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 processor and AI-based audio/voice processing, the chip provides enterprise-grade security and native support for collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Cisco WebEx. It is also supported by a field-hardened Linux and Android software development kit.

To meet the demand for embedded AI processing, the DVF120 offers a dual-core GPU and out-of-the-box AI models that enable background noise reduction and acoustic echo cancellation. The SoC also works with Synaptics’ AI framework, which allows developers to create and deploy applications such as voice authentication and auto-generation of meeting summaries.

Arm TrustZone technology delivers secure boot, a dedicated security processor, trusted execution environment (TEE), hardware security module (HSM), secure storage, and on-chip anti-fuse OTP. Other features of the DVF120 include DDR4/DDR3/DDR3L, NAND, and eMMC 5.1 controllers; 3D graphics; dual-display capability; gigabit networking; and multiple connectivity options.

The DVF120 SoC is sampling now and is slated for mass production in Q1 2024.
